I studied Islamic theology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. In the course of this study, I completed a semester abroad at the University of Ez-Zitouna in Tunis (Tunisia) and completed my studies with a bachelor's thesis on the role of Muslim women in the poetry of Al-Andalus. In the master's program at the Institute for Religious Studies at the University of Bremen, I focused in more detail with the role of religious representations in times of profound mediatization. In my master's thesis, I conducted a discourse-analytical research on Western constructions in pop-cultural media. In this context, I analysed the comic, cartoon and video game of "Tintin in the Land of Black Gold". Since February 2021 I have been a research assistant at the Institute for Religious Studies and Religious Education.
My areas of expertise are literatures and media of religions as well as Islamic religion. In my dissertation I would like to focus on the construction of mental health among Muslim actors on social media. For this I would like to carry out a comparative study between Germany and Tunisia.
