Dr. Dr. Lisa Kienzl is a founding member of GeNet-ISMRC.
Lisa Kienzl ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin (Postdoc) am Institut für Religionswissenschaft und Religionspädagogik an der Universität Bremen. Darüber hinaus ist sie Mitglied im interdisziplinären Forschungsschwerpunkt WoC und im Lab „Medien und Religion“ am ZeMKI. Sie promovierte 2012 im Fach Europäische Ethnologie / Kulturanthropologie und im Jahr 2014 im Fach Religionswissenschaft. Sie forscht zu (De-)Konstruktionen, Transformationen und Interpretationen religiöser Elemente in unterschiedlichen Medien. Dabei liegt ihr Fokus auf qualitativen Annäherungen an Film, Fernsehen, Comics/Mangas, Video Games sowie unterschiedlichen Social Media Plattformen.

Lisa Kienzl is a postdoctoral researcher in the area of media, religion and culture at the Institute of Religious Studies and Related Didactics at the University of Bremen. She is a member in the lab media and religion at the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) and part of the interdisciplinary and collaborative research platform Worlds of Contradiction (WoC). She holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology and in Religious Studies. Her research interests include religion and identity formations in digital media, visual material culture in contemporary and historic settings, qualitative methods, such as digital anthropology, and the transformations of religion, gender as well as the notion of the nation in popular and gaming cultures.
